Ok. Yup, the last two days have been interesting.
Yesterday, I slept RIGHT through my alarm...yay, fun...with lots of me rushing about to get where I needed to go on time.
Yesterday, we ended up out at Clarian West...VERY nice hospital. The person in charge of their IT had a list of what printers we should hit...and, of course, we also were to keep an eye out for any that might fit what we were inventorying...
Well, at the end of the day, the tests hadn't come through well at all...so, we ended up back out there for part of today.
Lunch time today...after that, we came back to Methodist hopsital, and got on the "People Mover" (Which is really a monorail...), and went to IU Hospital...we split into teams, and started with floor 6 for one team, floor 5 for my team, and floors 4 and 3 for two other teams...our floor went great...got all the printers, we think, and found out later that the team on 6 had at least double, if not triple the number of printers we had, and that their tests weren't going through...so, tomorrow, we head back over there, and try to finish those, and the last two floors...
IU was a bit harder....West was calm, quiet...IU is like ordered chaos..I should have remembered some of that from my visits there year upon years ago...the big memory is the smell of the Marrow hallways...One team was dealing with the Trauma wards...and, a kid who just turned 21 today was really kinda freaked by it. We'll see if he deals better tomorrow..of course, at some point, we head over to Riley...and from what i unerstand, that one will be harder, too...dealing with a lot of sick children over there and all that.
It's a pretty decent job...LOTS of walking...and I think I've managed to come close to dehydrating myself a few times...trying to watch that, as it's not something I've had happen before. And, am eating a little less....no afternoon naps (BAD habit I'd started recently..but, when your body says it is tired, it's hard to say "no")...
Got home to a call from a resume I'd submitted...they want an interview tomorrow morning, or Thursday morning..so, now I am trying to contact my temp placer to see what protocol is, and then call the company that wants to interview me and see if I can make that happen.
Busy, Busy week...and no, the pay doesn't feel like it's worth it..then again, I was probably a little spoiled. Still, this was meant to be a two week temp job, to find 2200 printers, test em, and go from there...dunno what I'm rambling about at the moment. I'm TIRED.
8 days left in this...then, it's a new month. Hopefully, a new job there too...or plan B (which, by all rights, should be plan A...MUST make plan).
