Friday: Woke up WAY too early...got through security, and was pulled out to be gone over...set off the detector twice..once, was the pack of gum in my pocket...who knew that the gum packs have enough metal to set off a wand...and the second time we couldn't figure out what in my pants was setting it off...argh. Ah well, they checked and double checked, and I was fine..apparently, the camera bag I had was enough for them to run a bomb sniffer over it..who knew. :-) Got on the flight, flew out, and slept part of the way...got into DC, only to turn immediately around and attempt to get on the flight leaving for Toronto. Made it...and found one of the most fun Flight attendants ever on that flight..man by the name of "Paul", who from what I was told, did a lip sync to the woman's voice telling you all the safety precautions...
Finally arrived in Toronto, and took a cab to the hotel...sacked out tired for a bit, ordered Room Service, as I was starving...and then Sa and I went to go looking for Second City...
My fault, we took a wrong turn, and walked all over many blocks of the city, trying to find the street...in drizzling rain, and cold weather...Sa was about to kill me.
Finally, found the street we needed to find, but found that Second City had moved..just down the road. Made it in time for the show, which was hilarious...LOTS of spoofing on America...go figure...very good show, though you could tell it was a new group, as one girl had SUCH a hard time not cracking up at some of the improvs...of course, that just made the audience crack up harder, so it worked.
Several skits stick out in mind (of which my brain won't seperate them enough to ptu them down), but at one point, there was a FURRY DANCERS act...which culminated in an Eagle trying to rape a Beaver...hmmm...subtext? NAH!
Bought a shirt from there...then went back to the hotel, and slept...
Yes, there was a lot more going on...but, brain is still trying to put SO much of it into perspective...
I'll try to update the next two days later. :-)
