Woke up on Sunday, and went to the CN Tower at about 10:00am. Checked out of the hotel, and asked them to hold our luggage for a bit.

Went up in the tower, and DAMN...first, bought the tickets (or rather, was treated to my ticket), and went in...went through a machine that apparently was a bomb sniffer. Increased security everywhere.

Went up to the lookout area...nice view of Toronto from up there...walked around, then went to the Skypod, which is even higher up. Took some pictures, then took out the Telephotic lens that had been loaned to us. Comment made was that we hadn't gotten to go to Casa Loma..pointed out where, in theory, it should have been, and hell, we were able to get a picture of it.

After spending a bit of time there (and me wanting to go back to it eventually), we left.

Went to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch, which is right "next" to the stadium...to the point that the window we were seated at looked out over it. Lunch was ok..had a real burger, which the cheese just made it better.

Got back to the hotel, got our luggage, and headed to the airport.

LONG wait at the airport, after finding out where our gate was. Went to the duty free shop, bemoaned that I didn't buy some of the Crown Royal Limited...bought some gifts for family, and then went in.

Sa had been given some flowers at the wedding, so we had to declare them, and they had to be inspected. After that, we walked to our terminal...no security inspection, as the statement we made was that they must assume we are safe because we'd had to go through that.

Waited...finally, it was about time for the plane to board, and we were shuffled through to an area where there were 4 people, who proceeded to inspect EVERY bag and person.

I made it through, was remarked that I knew what I was doing (I'd removed the belt and shoes first), and waited..and waited. After that was done, went and sat down.

At one point, there was a petulant whiny child...and, a girl who was getting sick while being inspected...these were two of our people on the flight home. Ah, fun.

Got on the plane, and flew to DC...had to turn right around to get on the flight back home.

Well, as I was a stand by passenger, somehow, through computer snafu, they didn't have me in the system. Never mind that I already had a ticket...the only way, they said, for us to get on the flight was to pay for one upgrade...by this point, both Sa and I were tired, and really just wanting to be back home. So, we talked to two different people, and then stood by the guy's desk as he boarded others...I think he finally got tired of us (or, he was being benevolent), he asked for my ticket..both of them that I'd gotten by this point...and upgraded me to first class.

Flight back was neat...seat was bigger, there was a nice guy next to me I talked to just a little...got pretzels and a candy bar...only to find out later that apparently, Coach class got nothing.

Flying at night, with moonlight on the clouds, was neat...and, for the longest time, I was tracking a star just outside my window...

Finally, landed, and got back to Sa's...stayed there, and was delivered to my car the next morning.

All in all, great trip...can't wait to go back. SO close to wanting to move to Toronto and find a job..hoping, of course that the economy up there is better than it apparently is here.

Did I mention there is LOTS to do for entertainment there? :-) LOTS of opportunity for new things to do when I go back...I'd recommend.

And that was the trip.
