Yeah, the job is merely ok.
Won't require much of anything that I've learned...I DID have to laugh when I solved the tech I'm "shadowing"'s problem...someone called in and was complaining that they were getting an error message upon scheduling a conference room at their office..he went through several steps, and I tapped him, he muted it, and I told him to look and make sure she'd sceduled it as a resource, as opposed to as a person. Lo and behold, it worked.
So, yeah, job hunting continues..yeah, this will be helpful for a while, but man...I felt like I was gonna climb a wall today.
And, they are talking of the 4 of us (yes, 4) who started...we're apparently going to be split into shifts...2 people will get the 6:00am to 3:00...the next person, 7:00 to 4:00, and the last, 8:00 to 5:00.
Could be interesting...of course, they cover the US in support, hence the staggered schedules.
So, not a great job, not even really a good job (though, I'm told by the mentor that it's an easy job..FEH..that just makes me feel cheaper in my skills...).
And things keep moving forward. It'll be as it is, and it could be much worse.
As I mentioned in a comment, however, after seeing how this job will go, I'm no longer confident that I can put programming together for this year's convention...will try to get the grid and at least start putting a few things in there...that way, if I DO have to drop, someone else will have an easier time picking it up.
What a fun life I lead. :-)
