Movie Review
Jan. 6th, 2006 09:58 pmLost and Delirious.
Basic plot stolen from IMDB: A newcomer to a posh girls boarding school discovers that her two senior roommates are lovers.
I'm at a total loss of words, the hopeless romantic crushed. Suffice to say, good viewing, but don't watch it when the dark places in your head are creeping in for a comfortable stay...although, I'd also say don't watch it when you're in a very high, happy place.
So much of my life gets stolen from movies..or rather, movie moments get assimilated. Did it change my outlook on life? No...did it bring the dark haunted spots of my mind to the front? A little..then again, at this point with everything going on, that was bloody likely to happen anyways.
All actresses were wonderful, including a small part by Caroline Dhavernas (Probably spelled that wrong). And, as with some of the movies that imprint into my head, moments where you feel you've made mistakes that the characters are making..which for me, is all the more confusing, as I'm a straight male. I would venture to say that makes some things, feelings, and thoughts universal, but I'd be pretty close to breaking my philosopher ban that I've had on myself for a good while.
Snippet review, of course, as I never quite dare to give a full on review of any movie, as someone on my list might take the movie name and plot, and watch it, never having seen it before, and I hate to ruin things.
