Aug. 23rd, 2004 10:58 pmWell, the last day of Gencon went well...my Burn in Hell game went off well, and then I helped by trying to find things for Drew.
Managed to get one of the winning tickets for a Galactus at the convention, and made the friend who asked me to get a ticket VERy happy...it worked out well.
Saw many cool games...got to say bye to Aaron and Cristi Williams...
Was amazed...by Saturday, the bootleg DVD dealers were GONE...all of them. And, it was quick enough that if I hadn't seen a table being dismantled, I'd have doubted they'd been there in the first place. Wow...had a friend get burned, as one of the DVDs he'd bought had no disc in the case...foops.
Dinner was a Buca's...which I'd never been to before. VERY good food..the Chicken Parm was FABULOUS! I must go again...talked over with a bunch of the MIBs, and we discussed how we can do things better next year.
A special "Great Man" award goes to Paul Chapman, of SJ Games...this was Paul's first real convention...he'd done mostly GAMA before, and he looked exhausted, but seemed to have a good time...and was great as an overseer for the MIB...had good suggestions, and such...can't wait to work with him again.
All in all, lots of fun games, lots of chaos, and I can't wait to go next year. :-)
