Tire Repair
Oct. 19th, 2005 10:04 amSo, managed to take the car in to Big O to have the tires looked at...yup, leak was through the steel belt...no repair.
No used tires...went with two new for the front.
And an alignment.
On another note, got called back about Baldwin Lyons...their "first" choice didn't work out, so I'm being resubmitted...
Applied at St. Vincents, as well...and even went so far as to apply for an administrative position.
No, that's not my first choice, but I'm kinda past the fucking "Oh, something in my area of specialty will open up" phase. Yeah, it's great to be good at what you do, but not when there is a glut of people who do the same thing in the market...
Anyone who doesn't understand why this irritates me as much as it does should just get it over with, and unfriend me now. It's not likely to magically get better anytime soon, and the perpetual "Oh, something will open up, you just need to keep applying" is getting irritating, as if I weren't applying for everything that looks tailor-made for me, and several that aren't.
No word yet on Alliance...I may or may not be going. If not? well, I won't lose sleep...it's a fun little thing, but when it all breaks down, that's exactly what it is...little. The volunteer gaming thing has been losing its appeal for a while now. Still, if I can somehow help a small gaming company grow bigger through my efforts, then I don't feel my time is wasted.
Yeah, random Emo Ramblings...they are so much fun to read (So just imagine what it's like to be an optimist who has them rattling in his head...yeah, not much fun on this end to write, either).
And Christmas is...so many months away. Far enough that I'm not panicking yet...close enough that I can see the edge of panic.
And yes, if it appears that the fringe of my well held optimism is, well, wearing...then bingo. Gold Star.
Hopefully, Chicken Little will go away soon, and I can post something a little happier...like...puppy dogs...kittens...children playing on a jungle gym....whatever. Just something a little perkier than the perpetual gloom.
