Genius..

Ok, so right now, I've got an opportunity to work for the State...2 month contract...

I'll go in tomorrow for a Drug Screening, they need to do a background check..you know, all that happy crap.

The pay would be about what I need it to be.

Also, on Wednesday, go down to IUPUI for Math placement...Meh...dunno what I think about that. I understand math..sometimes, I can solve problems just by knowing the answer..but, showing work or such, or trying to work through a problem, drives me insane...ah well. It'll be what it will be.

Applied to a few other jobs...and, am trying to continue on cleaning the Apt...

Fun bit with that...decided that, to clean, I needed to pop in a tape to just have running background noise...what tape..Oh! Twilight Zone...

So, from when Sci-Fi (back when I had it..no Sci-Fi channel, or food network, or Comedy Central for me no more...) was runnign Chain Reactions, I popped a tape in...and right now, am watching "An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge"...Now, this has long been one of my favorite stories...go figure on what that says about me, mentally.

Anyways...Serling almost never (I think never, but I'm more sure saying almost) took stuff that had been written for him..whereas with this one, he took it from, I believe, a french source...and used it, as it felt it fit his show. Now, the show was in its last season, and was visibly dying by this point, but still...out of the last season, there were maybe a handful of good episodes, imho.

So, here we go...fun time. What are your favorite 5 Twilight Zone episodes? Hell, if you want, you can even include the two "sequel" series. :-P I'll post mine later...need to think on it a little.

Most people think I'm insane...

Back in 1994 (I THINK it was 1994...I was working at Noble Romans at the time...), there was a Far Side cartoon..."Tales from the Far Side", airing at Halloween...on CBS. I've shown it to a few people since then...it was VERY odd...very funny, and VERY Far Side. I was lucky to get it recorded...it's not been seen on air since then...at least, not that I've ever seen, or anyone has ever mentioned.

I decided to go looking and see where Gary Larson is today...like Berke Breathed (before he started Opus), he seems to have disappeared..in searching, I found this...
