Capsule Review - T3
Apr. 12th, 2006 11:33 pmTerminator 3.
Ugh.
I mean, don't get me wrong, they tried...but, it felt like a downer movie, and really, if that were the case, they tried too hard to make it "fun"..it felt off..not like the other two, and really fucks with the prime idea set in the first two.
I was right upon my first analysis, before even seeing it..the books that came out before this movie did the whole idea much better.
Stahl as John did a good job..Danes, well, she's good, but she also seemed like she was just kinda thrown into it. Arnold...*shakes head* So much potential...
VERY noticeable CGI effects..and I don't notice those at times...of course, part of that may be that, with less they did more with the first two movies. Yes, the T-1000 was CGI, but man, it worked...at least, it seems it did at the time.
So, yes, there were some good ideas...if I'd seen this before reading the books, I MIGHT have liked it a bit more, but as it is, it feels like so much wasted potential...
Hate to be a "good ole days" type of person, but here we are. :-)
Anyone else have opinions on this movie?
