per_soloOk...well,for anyone still reading, this is another computer entry. :-P
The culprit? Power Supply...upon removing the old MOtherboard, I've found that the Power Supply connector was CHARRED..as in black bits that had melted off...so, one of the power surges here has crippled me.
So, amongst getting a Motherboard/Power Supply/Processor, I NEED a UPS...don't want this to happen again.
The POSSIBLE good...I have renters..depending on the deductible, I may be able to get the parts fried by this covered...the bad? If the deductible is like, $250? I don't have it.
So, step one is done..I'm back online, back job hunting...step two? Wake up bright and early, and head over to my Insurance people and see what they can do. Same place that does my Car Insurance covers my renters..and see what the options are.
