Date: 2006-06-17 01:45 am (UTC)My decent into anime fandom was a slow one. I started out watching Sailor Moon every morning before school and I fell in love with it. I mean, girls hadn't had an actual superhero since She-Ra. But I didn't really realize it was Japanese for awhile. Then I started dating a Filipino guy who introduced me to Vampire Hunter D. After that, I started watching/collecting Ranma 1/2 VHS tapes. My final fall was the decision I made to watch every anime tape that any video rental store had in stock. (When I lived in NC, I finished off Blockbuster and another local store.)
I have forgotten more anime than some people have ever watched ;)

Date: 2006-06-17 03:37 pm (UTC)The Manga? Eh, it's ok...I've found myself fully drawn into Blade, however...to the point that I'm two books behind, and REALLY want to know where the story is going. Some parts of it, I think you'd like..then again, not knowing your violence quotient, it's hard for me to think what you'd think. Strain and Sanctuary are both "modern" manga tales, serious storytelling.
Too cool...I've only ever gotten into a few Animes...A-Ko was the second one I watched, and people told me I needed to see a LOT more before I'd be ready to understand the humor of it...Fist of the North Star (Ugh), Record of Lodoss War (Which I loved), Gunsmith Cats, which I thought was amusing...dunno that I've ever seen Vampire Hunter D...it's on the list, just never happened.

5.girl's suicidal put in the course of a week learns to love life.
as for the question..not a blockbuster definitely. hopefully doing something in the entertainment world.
