Comment here and I will

1. I’ll respond with something random about you
2. I’ll challenge you to try something
3. I’ll pick a color that I associate with you
4. I’ll tell you something I like about you
5. I’ll tell you my first/clearest memory of you
6. I’ll tell you what animal you remind me of
7. I’ll ask you something I’ve always wanted to ask you
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on yours. Yes, people, the meme police will get you unless you do.

And...I've been tasked. Will see if I can fulfill that.

Eeeenteresting. I don't normally read manga. Though I have seen the anime version of Gunsmith Cats (along with Riding Bean) and it's one of my favorite shows. The only manga I've ever read was some Angel Sanctuary and Kare Kano. (Well, and a bastardized version of Sailor Moon but we'll pretend that didn't exist.) I'll try to track down some of those titles ;)

My decent into anime fandom was a slow one. I started out watching Sailor Moon every morning before school and I fell in love with it. I mean, girls hadn't had an actual superhero since She-Ra. But I didn't really realize it was Japanese for awhile. Then I started dating a Filipino guy who introduced me to Vampire Hunter D. After that, I started watching/collecting Ranma 1/2 VHS tapes. My final fall was the decision I made to watch every anime tape that any video rental store had in stock. (When I lived in NC, I finished off Blockbuster and another local store.)
I have forgotten more anime than some people have ever watched ;)

7. Why DC? One of my friends from college had gotten a job at the Holocaust Museum, didn't want to go by herself, had her sister (the evil one) get a job at the museum, I was asked to tag along, then I could get a job at the museum or the Smithsonian...government job, benefits out the ass, etc. I wasn't really doing anything, so why not? I get out there, government jobs don't give me so much as an interview, end up working at Sears on commission, which wasn't too bad, it got me enough money to pay my portion of the bills...after a few months I realize DC is not the place for me and I just had to ride out the rest of the lease. The living situation I was in was also not ideal...if you want to know about THAT I can tell you about it later or through e-mail.

here we go
