Ah, memory.

per_soloSo, I forgot to mention one of the other things that happened to me at the convention.
So, Saturday night, I'm hanging out, talking with the former organizer of Rivercon (A convention that had its last convention in..2000?), and a guy and girl walk up to me. He says "I bet you don't remember who I am..", and I told him of course I remembered. It was an old high school buddy of mine.
We caught up, he looked like he was actually clean (several years ago, he was heavily into drugs), and after chatting, handed me an envelope. They are getting married, August 23rd. And, the whole reason he came to the convention? He knew that I, Cowpers, and Drew would be there. He also asked about an Ex of mine, to which I informed him that she was, to the last of my knowledge, still at her old house. He picked up on that, so I got to relate the tale of our not hanging out anymore.
He also shook his head when he found out I had moved back to my hometown. :-)
All in all, t'was a neat experience seeing him again, seeing the girl he's going to marry (which looks much better than the psychotics he'd ended up with before..see? Not just me!), and I'll do all I can to make sure I'm able tomake the wedding...even if I only hang out in the back.
Now, to wait a few more hours, then get ready to go to the job fair. No word from our GM if we're gaming tonite or not, and I kinda want to wait a few hours to see.
And, after a day of feeling better, stomach is back to its old tricks. Feh, but oh well.
