But Carl Anderson died. Carl played "Judas" in Jesus Christ Superstar, year, after year, after year. He was in the Film version, and toured it many times. Anderson had a helluva voice, and always made Judas someone you could almost sympathize with..of course, ALW's lyrics probably helped with that...

I've seen Anderson do that role 4 times. I've seen Ben Vereen do it once (Live performances). Carl had a few CDs come out of music that he had done. He got the role of Judas because a gentleman passing by heard him and friends singing various parts of it, and thought his voice perfect.

The last time I saw him performing was a year ago, when JCS came through Indy, with Sebastian Bach playing Jesus. Bach Sucked. Anderson, as typical, was great.

Now I have to find my JCS soundtracks....
