Um...I've been debating getting a better flash drive for a while, and I think this one will be it, if it's still around when I get one. Doesn't fit into the plan just yet, hell, my brain is saying I shouldn't justify Gencon, but I'd rather spend one day there, than saying "I should have gone" and having to wait a full year for the next one. It, and the Alliance Trade Show, are gamer geek meccas.
Of course, next year things should be a bit easier, and I SHOULD be getting into the convention for game running. :-P Now, here's a question, for Gencon, should I bring any of my SJG stuff, and run pickups in the hallway or other areas? Thoughts from the gamers?
Found a nice house in the beech grove area, for 69,900...placement is essentially at Shelby/Thompsonish. House built in the 70s. 3 Bedroom, 1 bath, 1 level. Found it via Mibor (because, seriously, if I'm looking at Apts, I may as well price houses, or try to find a RTO house).
I obviously can't get it right now, but if anyone I know in the area is interested? Let me know, I'll get details to you.
Of course, part of my brain is thinking "You've seen those flipping shows on TV, so find a way to get the house, fix it up, and sell it for more", but if I recall, that too takes investment capital. Still a neat dream for the entrepreneurs.

Date: 2006-08-08 02:56 pm (UTC)Yes, I agree...Mibor does rock, and I wish I were more stable to be able to go for the house I'd found. Still, with a 3 bedroom, it might make a REALLY good spot for someone else. Placement is good for southside/beech grove.

Date: 2006-08-08 03:02 pm (UTC)Yeah, I agree that this is probably not the best time to commit to a mortgage. I would NOT get a rent-to-own home. You don't collect any equity with an arrangement like that. But, depending on how things go in the next couple years, who knows?
Any thoughts on your uncle's (?) rental?

Date: 2006-08-09 12:05 am (UTC)*nod* I just want the space of a home, the equity would be nice, but the idea of working toward owning something, that's kind of pulling at me right now.
Uncle's rental is a still being pondered. :-)
