Ok, since I'm NOT that good at pre-visualizing such yet, does anyone have any idea how I could make a pure black shirt, with a Yellow Stripe...you know, similar to this back shot of a commercially available one.



Except, the front has a logo of the comic strip it's from. Well, I want one that is just yellow, all the way around.

Thoughts from the creative people? And, hey, you get an extra credit if you know where it's from. :-P

Similar to the fact that I'm surprised I haven't seen an Oasis (from Sluggy Freelance) cosplayer yet. :-)

And, somewhat more amusing...the majority of people I know who have posted the meme I posted earlier? Are either "The Empress", or "Death", I think I saw 1 Strength, and one Justice. I'm not quite sure what to think of that...either most are the "I'll kick your ass for harming mine" mother types, or the rest are going through massive amounts of change and such. Hmm.

Either:
1. Buy a black shirt and some yellow fabric and sew a yellow stripe on the black shirt.

or

2. Buy black fabric, yellow fabric and a t-shirt pattern (well, OK, you can find that online, you don't have to buy the pattern) and sew it yourself.

or

3. Similiar to 2 but find someone to sew it for you.

Or buy a YELLOW shirt, section off the stripe and DYE the rest black.

I think I like this option, since I'm fairly sure I can master dye-ing quicker than Sewing.

Yay, I'll have a hobby. :-P As if I needed to give myself one with all going on now.

Thank you both for the ideas. Who knows, eventually I may try the sewing idea, too, just to compare the looks.

It's possible but if he wants it black-black, it'll take dying the shirt a couple of times.

Is there a bright enough yellow that the black wouldn't show through if I were to sew it? And yeah, black/black is kinda the thing with it.

That depends on the type of fabric you buy. You'd have to compare the fabric types and their colors at the store. (A cotton/cotton duo wouldn't work...it might need to be something like black cotton and yellow polyesther or something.)
