Bday Party

per_soloWell, the Bday party was very cool...as it was, a normal "Wednesday" gathering turned into a BIG party with other friends invited. Thanks to Savidya, and Drew for planning..Mooncat, Desidera and Husband, Drew's wife and son, Savidya's Husband, Kathy, Thedruidbear and his Pixie....Susan C and Nodley..I really DO have some of the best friends in the world.
I had an absolute blast, and was quite surprised..and VERY happy to see so many friends in one place..I felt bad at one point because I was trying to go between the two groups...and yes, Echo, I know you remember such pain. :-) But, I had fun doing it.
And walked away with the DVD Player I've been lusting over, a copy of The Office season 1, a late Christmas Ornament that is very cool looking, and a Gift card for Best Buy...if I get anymore on Saturday, well, then Best Buy will love me this weekend...after the Saturday party.
That begs the question, tho, of what to get...do I use said card to make life easier and buy a box set cheaper, or do I get one of the items that's been on my wishlist forever? Do I use it to get Neverwhere? MI5? The Commitments? :-P Ah, it's burning a weird, best-buy shaped hole in my pocket.
Anyways, that's the update on that..now, since I HAVE a DVD player that will play overseas DVDs....now I feel I'll go broke on that. Heh.

Date: 2004-03-26 05:00 am (UTC)The initial intention was not to break off into a different group, but after going downstairs there seemed to be a constant stream of conversation. The amusing thing of the night was going upstairs and finding Nodley (my co-worker who sits across from me at work) sitting there. I had a feeling that he would fit in well with the general type of people that our gang hangs out with....little did I know all these months that he had been hanging out with you for so long. :)
