Thankful, for all of you here as my friends, and am hoping that your day is great.
Months ago? This would have been a bitter thanks. Last night, I was trying to think of how to do this. I debated putting a word of thanks in for every person. Mobobocita and Negative_42 and Mooncat75 and AngryKoala would get high thanks, for challenging me to figure a few things out, in Negative's case, for making a side comment at Gencon that may not have drastically changed my life, but has caused me to evaluate more and choose a path. A path that may or may not work, but if it doesn't? Then I choose again. AK for acting as a sounding board when I made the most recent choice, unable to point out a major flaw in my plans. Or ConfusedJew, who is trying to hammer forgiveness through my thick skull, and is still one to bounce that one back and forth with. And even if I'm not where I want to be with it? I feel much closer than I'd been.
How do I thank the multitude of friends who are still here? (whether they trust me after the rough times or not, they are still there). How do I thank the new ones, who are going through what end up being moments common to us all, reminding me that though one feels alone in their pain, or their grief, they really aren't, and that Callahan's has some major life themes in it?
How do I thank those who still read my ramblings here? both the incredible lows, but also the amazing highs, and the in-betweens?
