Feb. 2nd, 2007 12:57 amOk, I'm going to bed.
New phone has arrived (YAY).
I've now discovered the wonderful world of Fan Edits.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_edit
There are many fan edits out there, Not just the Star Wars ones (though, I'm loathe to admit, the fan edits for the prequels sound amazingly good, as do a few fan edits of the last two Matrix movies).
In short, if you're at all interested? Investigate. See if any movies you thought had potential might have been edited into a form that makes you happier. :-P
And, somehow, that led me to the following "precursor" to one of my favorite movies, Cube.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cube
A one hour teleplay, Produced and Directed by Jim Henson, in 1969.
Hmmm...
Dare I ask for thoughts?

Fan edits are cool
Date: 2007-02-03 04:52 am (UTC)I have been thinking of taking Pulp fiction and unraveling the timeline - but there is a sticking point and maybe you might be able to help. When the last scene in the diner - I swear there are two different timelines from that juncture. could be wrong. But wondered what it would look like and someday I will know.
catch ya later,
Tony

"A nice and easy fanedit:
Two movies to choose from:
Vincent Vega (the movie): chronologically telling the story of Vincent.
Butch Coolidge (the movie): chronologically telling the story of Butch
Vincent will not die in his movie.
Besides that it is all the good shit you know so well.
But this time you can decide which story you want to see.
Will probably soon be done."
Cannot find the other one, but here is a nice list of where some of the torrents are.

Warning, once you start looking/downloading, you'll be hooked on several. Right now? The Star Wars ones look great to download (still several days til mine finish), as do the Harry Potter ones, the Matrix, and several others. :-)
