Just got back from the convention...and I'm dead tired. Next year it's mine...

Now, if we can get rid of the Baseball kids, we'll be doing great..LOTS of problems with them this weekend..I'll go into more detail when I can think on it..

Jason Carter was great...he and his agent Donna were there...and Jason had many drinks to Richard Biggs...

Glenn Shadix was GREAT. As was David Wenning...hell, all of our guests this year were great...and I got to talk to Barry Child-Helton...and Michael Longcor...probably spelled that wrong. Got some good ideas on expanding filk a little and how to do that...

Dealers room was good...I think attendance was down, but it's hard to say..and, the economy isn't helping...argh.

So, it is now less than a year til my convention...yargh.

What a weekend.

I do believe that the convention overall was excellent. I am sure of this because of the great guests and fun I had - and I only got to be in two rooms during the entire con, Imagine what it would have been like if could have been in others.. (long story - snipped). I had to take a quick nap because when arriving, just got really tired.

The clock is ticking and the new year has arrived, looking forward to working with you on next years con - really, I know that exausting was really happening there on Friday night. But honestly, could not think of anything I would want to do more.

Until later,

Well...at least this years had some TV spots, that should have driven up some attendance. Of course, not sure how InCon can get back all those who they have ticked off yet.

Well, InCon did a pretty good job ticking me off several years back. Its a totally different con now. The staff is receptive to the need for change, and are taking it there steadily, if slowly. But what do you expect? That con was so f**ked up in the past that its a miracle it even exists... much less that its fun, and is on a steady climb, improving every year.

The crowd that would go to InCon is by nature a bitter and jaded lot. They're so cynical, they'll be back in a few years, if just to find something new to bitch about. And if they're actually receptive to the con, and not just there to whine and cry, they'll more than likely have a good time, and be back again... if just to find something to bitch about.
