Assistance needed...

Ok. Others will know what to do for this better than I do.

I have a sword that a friend gave me, several years ago, and I pulled it out of the scabbard I'd found for it. Well, I've noted a few spots..it doesn't look like it's rusting THROUGH, but it looks like rust on it. I can run a fingernail across it, and it does scrape off.

The sword "name" is Carlos V, and it says "made in Spain", but eh, who knows.

So, how do I fix this?

If I can find a camera, I'll try to show a little of this one. And no, this isn't the cheapy "Medieval Times" sword. :-P I've been tempted to pitch that thing, but just can't bring myself to.

Wow. :-) That was quick. Good to know on the scabbard thing. Never would have guessed that, but reading, I got a "DUH" moment in my head.

*nod* Mine looks closer to the number 1, but without the embossing (?) in the center near the hilt.

Now I need to go get some of the stuff that Cassie's page suggested, and work on it. :-)
