AND, I just got my grade back for "The Tourism System", for the exam.

80, out of 80.

Which means that my total (I'd stated it in error a day or so ago), is 200 out of 205...and, add 3 "extra" points, for 203 out of 205.

To say I'm happy is quite an understatement.

And, I know it may be common, but to receive a "Well Done" next to your exam..especially one that consisted of 9 questions (of which all were in the lectures..I took a chance on a few of them, and went outside the lectures to provide my thoughts on improvement, and how casinos get people to gamble more)..all of which were..not Essay, but not short answer, either.

The lowest score on the test was a 39..I'm boggled at how someone could have pulled that. We had a full week to prep, and answer, and submit.

Of course, mine ended up being something like 6 pages. I'd be tempted to ask the Dr. what I did right, and what wrong, but with a perfect score on it...I dunno. The paper is saved, of course, in the little 8 Gig "College" portable hole I have created out of one of my old laptop hard drives. So far, all my stuff is there. It's 2 Gig worth now (those audio lectures take up a bit), and I"m not sure how it'll work with my classes next semster..but, once I have a little more, it'll likely get burned to a DVD for Long term storage.

Summer session is over. With the two classes, my average is a B. I'm not as happy with that as if I'd gotten a real B in my Exhibits class, but ah well. I passed, both, and got good remarks from both of my teachers.

So, if ya'll see me treat myself to something at the con in two weeks, don't smack me too much (UNLESS I overdo it...moderation is the chief good..can't remember which ancient Latin philosopher said that..Pliny? Hmmm). Either way, well, I'm exhausted now. I'm still surprised at just how much energy I have pent up in doing well in school.

And, I got to have lunch with my friend Jason, whom I do not get to see very often. Jason is one of those who was a sounding board for me, as we started having lunch regularly when I worked downtown. He made a comment today that initially stung, but only for a moment as I realized he was right. The comment? "You know, I hate to say this, but I think you really needed everything to happen as it did. I don't know if you really realize just how much more mellow and better you are now than when we started doing lunches".

*smiles* He's right, of course. Of course, I still feel "odd" having this much fun in my major. And in seeing all sorts of possibilities...Tourism, for example. We'll see if it stays, but I'm really curious on where I could fit into Indy's Tourism system..

Anyways..I'm off for a bit.
