Nov. 12th, 2007 07:31 pmFirst, a quote. One of my favorite movie quotes, and in borrowing a set of movies, I just got to hear it again.
"When we throw the switches, how long before the ship blows?"
"Ten minutes."
"No bullshit?"
"We ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space."
:-)
In other news, I appear to have a cold of doom right now. Throat is ARGH, sinuses are wonky..and I'm really really tired. Not going to bed for another few hours, however. So am finishing my movie, may watch some TV, then sleep, wake up tomorrow, and see what the day brings. Did have a good conversation with my math teacher, and the girl in my class, about pattern recognition. And, got to boggle at the "kid" behind me.
He made a comment to the girl back there that he is ALWAYS talking to..about how, on this next test, and the final, he had to get a 100% in order to get a C in the class. And tapped his fingers, talked to her all class, and then LEFT EARLY. *shakes head* That just has me doing the WTF????
Several students are having a rough time in there..the girl next to me wanted to celebrate, as her c- is now a B, after MUCH hard work to get these concepts. Similar, yes, I understand some of this much better than I thought I would, but I'm also putting the time into studying it out of class. In fact, I need to hit the topic of today, as in class, it just wasn't making sense (My brain was already overloaded due to the ASL test).
So yes, this kid annoys me, because he's earned his D...all of it. And, much as I feel sorry for people who cannot learn, he hit the point early on where he was interfering with MY learning. :-P
Yeah, I know, silly selfish me. Oh, the other thing that got me..tomorrow is the last day to drop out of the class...we lost about half of our class today..well, half is what we've lost up to now and now. And Mr. D is still in there. That just boggles me. But then, I'm learning that I won't/can't understand EVERYTHING.
Anyway, enough venting about school. :-) I'm still enjoying it, but if I repeat the whole "93% in Algebra", realize that it's because I'm damn proud..I've worked quite a bit to make sure I'm NOT sucking in that class. And no matter how I may get down on myself on it, C is still good in ASL (much better than the Spanish grade a year ago).
*shakes head at self* Enough on school. :-P Someone let me know if I'm missing anything.
