per_soloToday marks my fifth year at my company..and my mind couldn't be further away from work than it is today.
5 years is a long time to commit to anything..and it makes me wonder about being here another 5. Then again, I've heard both wisdom for and against staying somewhere more than 5 years...but I like the people I work with. The head of HR came down to congratulate me...a nice little touch.
Am drinking a big glass of water, but realized that I haven't eaten in...hmmm...a good while. The last thing I remember eating was a couple of pieces of Deep Fried Turkey on saturday night...and not big pieces, these were scraps, as when my friends make the Turkeys, the pieces tend to go as quickly as they are sliced off...something about how succulent the turkey is when it's fried like that..
Bought a few things this weekend...am now awaiting a Bill Hicks DVD to arrive...and bought the first season of Dead Like Me..I'd had that on my wish list at Amazon, but the price for it was $44 or such..or $42...can't remember now...and out of items for X-mas that I can see someone spending $40 for me on, that wasn't one.
Read some spoilers on a website about the new Star Wars movie...Have been told (and readings seems to indicate) that this movie, finally, will make up for the previous two...and even a bit of Return of the Jedi...(Ewoks..ugh).
Enough rambling...back to work.
