Jan. 14th, 2009 12:12 pmAn update on the annoying 172 class.
Per my adviser, I'll give a second chance. However, I have until Monday to get back 100% of my money, and next Friday to get back 75%. I'm checking the class regularly to see if communication has improved, but if there's nothing there in the next two days, I'm dropping it. Jim (my adviser) said that things should be improved this semester, but I'm sorry...with credit hours as expensive as they are, I don't see a need to waste double what I already wasted last semester for this class.
Yesterday was mind-numbing. My two TCEM classes seem like they will be a bit of fun..one is catering, and prepping us for 9 days of working a kitchen at a camp in Wisconsin, in either May or August. The other is cultural tourism.
For that class, we are doing something a bit different from what the teacher has done before. She wants us to do a movie review. I almost laughed when I heard what movie. We are to review "The Gods Must Be Crazy". It's been AGES since I've seen that one, but she's right, it's a neat look at culture.
Econ is going to be rough. Very rough.
And Stats...well, I'm holding opinion on Stats. I think it'll be good, but hard. The teacher seems to have a similar brain-outlook as myself, which helps. But, we also won't be dealing with Math so much as interpretation of data.
All in all, my Tuesdays and Thursdays are packed. And very tiring. But, I like (for the most part) my classes this semester, and am hopeful that all will be well. Even IF I drop that other class? I'll be well into my senior year by the end of this semester.
That's a little weird feeling.
Also, just saw a tweet come in from Warren Ellis that Patrick McGoohan just died. Damn...where are my "The prisoner" discs...
Hope you all are having a good day. Mine is ongoing.
