Ah, the days of Tech....

per_soloIt's been a LONG time since I played with a new Operating System...
That changed today...I opted to give Windows 7, RC a try.
RC is the release candidate...it means that, barring OMGTHEWORLDISENDING problems, this will be the next windows.
As I said, it's been a while. I've noticed a few glitches where it seems to lose my NT loader file..and that seems to be exclusive to when it does a restart, instead of a cold start...but, from what I see so far?
I LOVE it. As a friend said,it's Vista, without all the suck.
Expect updates as I make my way through this, but right now, it's good. It will be active til March of next year...then it will start shutting itself down every two hours, and then in June I think, it'll just go dead. The software SHOULD be out in October of this year.
In other news, passed my classes this semester. 3 C's (one a C+), of which one of those C's, by my math, should be a B...and 2 B's. Yay, done with this semester..now Destination Tourism, and Camp...followed by two more in a month and a half or so. Whee...Summer is always fun.
I think I'm done installing and re-installing for the night. Ran into a guy I used to work with this morning, who left my former company before I did, so it was nice to catch up with him and see how things are going.
And, so I don't forget, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Wickedsin. I hope that you and Mobo have a GREAT day. :-)
