Saw a tweet from mobobocita that made me ponder..and thought I'd pose this as an interesting question of the day.

If books took you into their reality, which one (ok, MAYBE two books) would you choose to enter, and why? Have fun with it...it can be whatever you wish the answer to be. Series of books, poems, etc. I'll give it some thought and give my answers later.

Terry Brook's Magic Kingdom series. It was a fun set of books to read and sounds like a fun place to visit. I could use some fun.

What first comes to mind is Vonda McIntyre's Starfarers series. Vonda is very good at coming up with technological developments I want to live in. And a worldship out there actually meeting Vonda-style aliens is simply awesome.

For Uncle Gregg it would be......

The Lives of the Mayfair Witches. Most notably the 1st book: The Witching Hour. I would want to be a part of the inner circle of Rowan and Michael.
Why I even treked down to New Orleans and stood outside Ann Rice's house, which is the same house she used in the book. Or perhaps I would be a Mayfair, I could be the designated heir to the Mayfair fortune, and I could wear the green emerald quite proudly too. I mean Lasher did take an interest in one of the Mayfair males, but I can't quite remember the name.

I loved those books, I actually felt like I knew these characters, like they were real.

The Witching Hour was an excellent read as far as I am concerned.

Gregg.

I'm beginning to think there are too many to count. XD Can we choose books that we want to be in the universe, but not hte time period they are set in? Like I'd love to be in Harry Potter-verse, just not when the books are set. >.> I'll have to think about this, too, methinks.

Yeah, I think I'd have to agree with Gregg on that one. I'd definitely live in the Mayfair Witches books. :)
