Ok. Back from the trip. I'll post a few thoughts, and then try to post more in depth on them later.

Wednesday...travel. LOTS of travel. one call from work (none the rest of the vacation). We arrived at the Dells in Wisconsin just in time to check in, and go to our massages...swedish massage. T'was ok...my guy was apparently new. So, instead of being GREAT, it was merely ok. Then, we played in the water park...lots of fun, some good slides and all that...and some nice hot tubs (tho, I'm not sure I dig public Hot Tubs...)

Thursday..woke up, played a lot more in the water parks, then left to go to our second destination..Dodgeville...stayed at a Best Western that was pretty decent...couldn't get a wireless connection (dependable one) to save our lives...went to Wal-Mart to pick some stuff up, and then ate at a Culver's...first time, good restaurant...I like it more than I like things here, so that worked. Then, we talked/hung out, and went to bed.

Woke up on Friday...went to house on the Rock. It was all I'd hoped and more...we walked at least 2 1/2 miles...saw LOTS of neat stuff (I WILL post pictures), and some creepy stuff. The Infinity room is a marvel, indeed. If you get the chance, I'd say go see it...I'd love to go back and just spent an entire day there...it's not for everyone, but it was a lot of fun. I'm not sure how many pictures Sa and Kack took..Sa's camera ran out of juice partway through, so Kack ended up taking the rest of the pictures while we were there...and we took quite a few...they'd have the specific numbers.

Left there and drove to Chicago. Stayed at the Essex...ordered what ended up to be bad mexican..well, ok, not bad, but not good. :-) Then slept...12th floor...I actually slept better than I thought I would. Of course, some of that may have been exhaustion.

This morning (It's not the next day til you sleep, and I'm not asleep yet..tho, I may be phantom posting a little), we woke up, and got on a shuttle to take us to Navy Pier in Chicago...lots ofneat little shops, and a pretty decent restaurant we ate at..then, took a trolley to the "Magnificent Mile", and we window shopped for several hours. Lots more shops (Expensive shops), and then ended up at the Hancock center. Took the shuttle back to the hotel, grabbed our luggage (and some Caribou Coffee for Kack), and headed home. About Gary ways, Mooncat started feeling ill...as did Kack. The trip home was rough, as two of the 5 members of our group were now feeling QUITE ill...diagnosis via phone with friend's mom is that they have Stomach Flu, and if they have it, likely all the rest of us will have it too. Sa's stomach started hurting a little, as did mine...and it still hurts now. So, am going to bed and sleeping in tomorrow. Will wake up, go to Mom and Dad's (And thank them again...they took my car to get it repaired...Intake Valve and Brakes...and they cleaned up my Apt. while I was out), and do Easter. Then, home to record a few shows tomorrow night.

All in all, a GREAT vacation...I'd recommend it for anyone, even with the feeling ill bit...for a marathon of hitting three distinct places, we all did good, and got a lot done on the vacation. Hard to believe it's done now..harder to believe that work is Monday. Ugh. Ah well.

Now to get the pictures..and to get Katmandu's Postcard to her...managed to snag one from the House, that shows the Carousel. :-)

Night.
