No, I didn't like it.

Nope..didn't like it. AGAIN, there were bits and pieces I thought were ok...but, you can take a shit sandwich, wrap it in tinfoil, make it all pretty, and it is STILL shit.
Was I as let down as I have been over the last two movies? Hell no..but then again, I didn't let my expectations rise this time. The writing was just as horrid as you've been led to think it would be, Plot Holes that you could sail a Death Star through, and yeah, about the only really good thing was the lightsaber battles, again.
CG Creatures, robots, and people even (I'm sorry, Commander Cody looked so obviously fake at several points that I wondered if the actor was even on set, or if they just scanned him during Attack of the Clones, and put him in again). And the god damned Lizard that Obi is riding..the hell is up with that? Couldn't we have him ride something, anything that may have looked more realistic? Like perhaps a giant chicken??
And Vader's line at the end...CRINGE worthy...trust me, you'll know when you hear it, and laugh your ass off...GOD.
As far as the rest of the weekend, it was good...Marcon was a lot of fun...I missed a few things I'd have loved to see...the Buffy Musical re-creation would have been fun...I did enjoy meeting Filkertom, and actually talking to LukeSki for a bit...hanging out with Echo amidst her duties for SJG...seeing the Chaos Machine was ok...getting to talk to Colin of Hex Games, and Rachel (one of their Knomes), and talking to Kovalic again...he was kind enough to sign a comic for a buddy of mine, ate at BD's, and marvelled that I only got two bowls...I seem to remember a time when I would have gotten 4, and gone through them quickly....I played no games this weekend, which was a surprise...got my friend Rob (Who let me stay at his place this weekend) to pick up the first trade for Planetary...and got to schmooze with the Starship guys...attendance at Marcon seemed VERY lite this year...and there were fewer dealers...let's hope that doesnt' translate across the board to all conventions.
Ah, and caught up with several episodes of Scrubs first season. :-P And that is my weekend in a nutshell...
