....I could have told you about them; not that I've ever worked, or considered working for them, but I've read alot of stories like when you found.

Stay away...remember, unless you win the lottery, money comes from work (not recruiting people). I love the cult analogy, it rings so true.

Yeah, the overwhelming word is "RUN"...and Drew even talked to me for a bit...said he'd remembered who they were, after the fact.

Still, good to have a few other interviews this week to shore up that one.

Dear God it was...it felt like a sales pitch, which really doesn't surprise me...the company has to sell itself to you as much as you are selling yourself to them, but when the klaxons sound that something seems shady...

Someone described them as the Amway of the Financial Community...and that does seem to fit. What scares me is that apparently, a friend ran into them 10 years ago, so they obviously have had some survival instinct...that just boggles me.

And, if I shut my brain off, I started feeling like Opus the penguin when he was hearing about Bill's Cult...it's a deceptively atractive lure...

I'm still baffled on where the money is coming from. Do they offer a salary? Income based entirely on commission? Really, really creepy.

It has to come from the schools/companies they contract to to provide finance information, is the only thing I can think of..altho, there is always the bit that you might have to pay for your licensing or such...yeah. Very creepy.

Remember, there is a differeence between ignorance and stupidity; ignorance can be overcome. I am glad that the klaxons went off. I have to admit, they did not for a former coworker/friend of mine.

Once in, there ARE actual products (like term life insurance and refi'ing mortages) that they sell. Of course, I can get beter rates from Vinny.
