Well, the Interview Friday went well. It's with a company called NCR, and they repair the scanners/printers at Wal-Mart, and varied ATMs along a wide area in Indiana...I think as far north as Monticello, and as far south as Columbus.

The job would require a LOT of travel to get to places where such things are broken..and the first month would be almost entirely in Ohio, at the training center, to learn how to repair such.

First 90 days, I'd be a contractor, while learning and seeing if I could do it..and, I was told the first month is hell, trying to learn things in sequence, and the stress of adjusting. Plenty of time on call and all that.

Do I want to do it? Well, it sounds interesting...but the travel bit really has me turned off. Then again, if this is the best hit I've had so far, there doesn't seem to be much choice. Yeah, I know, there's always a choice...this, or unemployment for the period of time where I'm unemployed here in a week. Not exactly the best of options.

Of course, I could always be all "Mary Sunshine" and say that it will all work out, that something will pop along...and fortunately, I've still got some of that optimism.

This next week will be fun. :-)

Hmmm. Yeah, mixed bag. But I think it could be worth giving a shot if something that wows you doesn't come up. The repair part could be interesting. It's good to have options.
