Gencon, Over.

Ok, Gencon is over.

Wow, busy weekend..saw a few of the other MIBs that came to visit, and didn't get to say goodbye to a few of them, as my ride was leaving...still, all in all, things went great.

The Ninja Burger tourney went great...all the players but one had a great time, and the one who didn't was annoyed because newer players didn't play their cards as he thougth they should have. The Tourney winner had never played before the convention.

Got hooked as hell on a new game by Smirk and Dagger games, the makers of Hex Hex. The new game is "Run for your life, Candy Man". Basically, you find out that the king is selling the winner of Candyland, and you decide to escape. You play like Candy Land, with a few added mechanics, like Candy Cage matches, where you pummel each other...it's harder for me to describe online, so I'll simply say, ask me, I'll play it...and, will be bringing it to varied functions in the future.

Became an instigator (Their fledgeling demo team), and will be trying to run their games at cons in the future. And, will link their site, as soon as they fix it. :-)

Now, to hit the job hunt again...and, found out today that I SHOULD be getting my Unemploy check this week, so the stress goes down JUST a little...and, had another friend offer me a roommate spot. :-) It's going to be an interesting few weeks.

And, for more added fun, stomach is killing me...either bad food at the con did me in, or I caught some small bug while there. So, a bit of rest today, which will work out nicely.

*heh* At that point, I'd have been involved for many hours, and as you were kind enough to offer me crash space, and gas savings, I felt much more like hanging out with you guys, then having to con people into giving me a ride home. I'm of the mind that the goodbyes to others wouldn't have been quick, since it was Gencon.

And, the hot tub and dinner were good, too.

Glad to hear you had a good time a GenCon, Per. My lil' brother looked at the Candy Land game....Wanted to play, but could never get in to do so. Took Bear over to see it too once he was out of his RPG. We might have to pick it up sometime.

Happy to hear about the checks also. This will help ease the mind a bit as you're job hunting....
