Recommended to Mom (she called a few minutes ago), that she and Dad go see it...this weekend, if they could.
Read one review that said they were reminded of the feeling at the end of Star Wars, way back ages ago. Pretty high words...as one memory I have of dad talking was just how amazed he was that a theatre full of adults was cheering when Han Solo flew in at the end of Star Wars...
I think this movie has that potential...even tho I got my SECOND spoiler on it earlier today..>GAH. Must Learns To Stops Reading the Internets Before Big Movies! GAH!

Date: 2005-10-01 11:46 pm (UTC)When I weigh it in, it goes in favor...and I keep reading that second viewings help. Especially with the whammy of laughing then "OH FUCK!" that occurs in it.
I'm curious, as I was reading that originally, Mal was supposed to be much darker in the series...to the point that Fillion didn't know if he could play that dark (Which is amusing, as he did a villain well in the last several episodes of Buffy), but that Fox wanted him lighter...I dunno, just kinda rambling.
