Scream....breathe.

Repeat as necessary...

I've got another interview with ProSolv, tomorrow...this is starting to feel really possible.

One of my recruiters wants me to start a job for the state...2 or three week...and want me to come in and sign a contract, since I'll be an employee for them...

Now, this concerns me...I WILL NOT sign a contract that says I have to stay during the duration of the contract...considering this could be just like the other temp thing I did...lasting much less, or the possibility of it going a LOT longer...and, well, I don't trust to well right now.

They initially wanted to give me one amount, knocked it down before they found out I had another interview, had two people back out, and now are offering me more of what I was wanting, hourly wise. And, let's be honest..if I get the other job, the temp job is gone...and, well, they aren't gonna be too happy with that.

Feels like a compromise of my morals, but at this point, DILLIGAF?

FAFSA has been filled out...

Comics have been sorted on which ones I'm gonna try to E-bay...am going to BEG a few people to put links up to the auctions, just to hopefully get more people. Several that people will want (Ultimate Spiderman, X-Men, Ultimates, a Predator set, and a few others). We'll see how that goes...been a LONG time since I sold anything on E-bay.

Hmmm....watching a bad copy of "Clone High"...MUST get a copy of this on DVD..unfortunately, it's only available in Canada...no appearance that it will be sold here in the states...UGH.

Brain is all across the map today. But, I feel good..this interview tomorrow has me jazzed...since, technically, this is 3rd or 4th interview, that's a REALLY good sign. And am trying DAMNED hard not to get my hopes up.

:-)

There, that's 307 words, you can easily meet the 350 word count without even trying. :P

Most every word counts, except "a", "the", and a few others. And 350 words is nothing, I have to read journals that are 300-400 page in length (and yes, I have to read every word of them). Writing is just something that one needs to develop and not worry about what this person or that person thinks; these are your words and your thoughts, they are your research, facts, and even opinions and it is how you put those words down that matter. You will find that writing papers is a simple task, especially when you find that research is included and that is just regurgitating others facts and opinions. Good research tactics and writing practices help. I will use a word/technique that you are going to CRINGE when you read, but it truly is your friend: Outline. it is a not what you think or remember from high school. I hated outlines because I always felt trapped by them, but now I see them as a plan for writing. It keeps me on track, helps with transitions from topic to topic, and so on. I found that it is not a true structure, rigid in form, but a fluid plan that helps ideas grow. if you have to take a Eng Comp placement test or need to write a short essay, try using one, even if it is just lines in a text box. Planning your thoughts and writing makes it much easier and it can be as simple as

- intro
- point 1
-- sub point 1 or evidence
- point 2
- point 3
- counter point to 3
- summary
- conclusion

It does not have to be an elaborate outline with each topic/sub topic indented so many spaces. Hope this helps.

Oh, and as for the "contract", don't let it worry you. Remember, this is employment and it is an "at-will" state. Even contracts are subject to those laws.

Peace,

Bear

(327 words .... and I was not even tring. BTW, I would love to see your face the first time they tell you to write a 5-7 page paper. I watch kids faces and see the looks of disgust, disbelieve, astonishment, shock, and more. I can always tell when it is their first paper. The thing is most professors want that at a 12pt font, double spaced, single sided, with 1 (or 1.25) inch margins. That said, a page is around 350 or so words; therefore you are only looking at 1750 to 2450 words. It is not that bad. The B424 psych class I suggested you register for, it requires a journal be kept (it is the majority of what your grade is based on) and it is between 200-300 pages, and that is a minimum. I have one student who is over 1000 pages so far, and she still has a few more sections to finish, like her auto-biography. After reading her journal, I feel like could miss the class and still experience through her writing. (505 words to this point.) Oh, and speaking of classes, I am looking for a dive partner. Would you want to take the scuba class with me?

GOOD LUCK!

I dreamed about you last night. SB and I were getting married again with a quickie wedding ceremony, and you were going to officiate. I think it was stimulated by my ruminations on Nav and Enoch's wedding.

YOU GO BOY!

Not much more to say, other than thanks for the update.
