Scream...shake, repeat as necessary.

Went to the interview..met the PRESIDENT of the company...and man, NOT a good feeling coming out of that...no reading whatsoever from him...so, I have no clue what he thought.

Talked to the head of the Dept for a bit...and, yeah, to go for this job, I HAVE to pass on the State Temp job, as they will make their decision tonite/tomorrow, and I'd start on Monday (If all plans go as current)...otherwise, well, we won't think on that.

Now, NOW feel like I need some rest...we'll see, eventually. :-P

Wow. They took you to meet the president? Just, wow.

You'll hear a yes/no by tomorrow? Or was that the temp job?

The Yes/No is the FT job...the temp job is now a memory.

And yeah, the president of the company..which, they WERE A company of 7..now they are 25, and growing...

And, if I get it, I'll be in a cube farm...the Dept Head wasn't too thrilled about that, I was amused.

Hah! Cube farms aren't that bad. Sometimes they make work more social.

Sounds like they're growing well. That's good. Do you know if you're up against anyone else, or if this is a yes/no for just you?

I saw one other person waiting as I was leaving...if I'm LUCKY, I'm just up against one other person. If not, well, we'll see.

meeting the pres is usually a sign that they are serious about you. What did he ask you? Not unusual not to have a feel for what they are thinking. What did the dept head seem to be thinking?
Bright side--they aren't hanging you out to dry for weeks while they make a decision.

He asked about my schooling, how do you deal with people you don't have an answer for...stuff like that.

Dept Head seems to think I've got a good chance..then again, he thought that at the first real meeting, when he said "When...um, IF you come to work for us..." and asked a question.

No, they are making a quick decision, I can appreciate that.

Per, it's a good sign that they brought you in to speak with the President. And *usually* the team leader has a pretty good pull on who he wants to hire in (for he will be the one working with you). If he likes you and you made a fair impression with the President, you've got a really good chance.
