Caffeine Detox

Well, once again, I actually made the mistake of counting up how many cokes I have in a given day. 3 or 4 cans, and a 32oz picked up on the way home.

Damn...that's a lot of caffeine and soda.

So, Wednesday afternoon, I decided to cut back, drastically...I'm not quitting altogether (well, because I love the taste of Coke), but I have to cut back...yesterday, I had ONE coke...when I got home, as a treat for the day...a thought my mother had given to me. We'll see...I've got a big Z-Teca cup (which is what Q-Doba used to be), and plenty of water.

Also, trying to cut back on spending...I have, approx, $100 to last me to Wednesday of next week...and, 2 birthday gifts to purchase. Also, my Heat and Gas bills were more this month than I had gauged..

The upside is that, by cutting back drastically on Cokes, I should have more cash. :-) Yeah, that's me, always looking for the silver lining...at least, here.

Stayed up a little later than I should have last night...got caught into watching "Surviving Nugent". The whole point of the show is to Survive Ted Nugent...for anyone who hasn't checked this out, you might...I regret to say that it IS a reality show, but it's a reality show with balls..and humor. People get to spend a bit of time (I haven't gotten to see a whole lot of it yet) with Ted, and be abused, thrown out, hunted with a paintball gun, all in the hope of getting a decent amount of cash, and exposure. I would be up for this...yeah, I wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell, but it would be fun...it'd remind me of camping out with scouts, when I was in Boy Scouts...and abused by my fellow scouts (I was tied up...a lot..it's amazing I didn't develop a fetish...).

Per, Bear and I went off of caffine almost a year ago. It's been quite an interesting ride. The first few weeks we had bad cravings for it, but now I personally can't stand the coke/pepsi stuff. Bear will grab a coke/pepsi every now and then, but not often. Cost wise, I think we get a *little* bit of a break on our drinks we buy from the supermarket ($5.00 for 24 as opposed $7.00). We normally buy rootbeer, lemonaide, ginerale, grape soda, and orange soda from Walmart for $2.50 for a 12 pack (you have to be careful about what you buy... In this great America, where they trick you about everything (this is one of my rants), there's caffine is quite a few sodas you wouldn't think there would be. Example, Sunkist Orange soda. Be sure to read the labels). Good luck on your quest, Per.
