Today is a good day.

Woke up cold, but comfortable, wrapped in a blanket, and really just wanting to sleep the morning away...got up, prepped for work. Balanced my checkbook, checked a few online comic strips..

Purchased "The Matrix Reloaded" last night...I know, many of you are going "But, You said you didn't like that movie..." Well, close..I said I was VERY middle of the road on it...and, I do want to see it again to see what I missed..hell, maybe watching Matrix, Animatrix, and Matrix Reloaded, one after the other, will help..of course, I could burn myself out on the movies, before November 5th, when the last Matrix movie comes out...

I'm curious..the first movie really WAS a trendsetter...and was a great combination of themes I've seen in other movies, and Animes, for years...and I thought it pulled them all together well...my biggest problem with "Reloaded" was that it seemed to invalidate a bit of the character growth that I thought made Matrix a lot of what it was...and, to a good degree, it made the last line uttered in "The Matrix" seem false. Again, these are just opinions...and ones that may change by the time I finish watching the sequel again.

Checkbook is balanced, and in theory, I'll get paid for a computer job tonite or tomorrow...money which will go to start a savings account, assuming I don't have to keep a minimum balance in said savings account...and, need to create another jar to put money in and save as I can...every pay.

Today..hmmm...well, tonite is supposed to be Smallville, tho I may record that and leave it be..I SHOULD finish the Dark Tower book I'm reading...am 30 pages from the end...of the most recent book. King's next book in that series comes out next month...I'm eagerly looking forward to it. Nice to know that, in a year, the Dark Tower series will be complete. Of course, now I get to finish "Bearing an Hourglass", and then continue in the other books of the "Incarnations of Immortality".

At work, I get to test/call in a laptop that a user has "savaged"...machine is banged up, cracked, the LCD flickers...screws were loose (No comments, please. :-P). Only thing I've seen close to that before was when a user was riding his Harley into work, and had the laptop in the "saddlebags" for lack of the real word. The vibration was shaking the screws out. So, this seems similar. But, the user hasn't a clue how that could have happened..he admitted dropping it a few times, on seperate occasions, when rushing through an airport...hmmm...

And, somewhere in there, try to learn Irish, like several other friends of mine...

In theory, sometime today, I'm going to pick up this week's comics...I should pick up last week's as well, since I skipped last week...what I'll likely do is go, see the stack being held for me, and then weed through it. Finding those comics I have to have to continue good stories, and put the rest back...comics is getting to be an interesting hobby again..most stories that are being put out are also being collected quickly into Trade Paperbacks...which are sturdier and better than individual issues...however, if the individual issues don't sell, the series gets cancelled, so no Trades get put out...hmmm..

My desire to save money by cutting back on comics, versus some of the good stories out there...and, I have cut back quite a bit on comics. I think of what I was spending a month on comics, a year ago, and shudder. But, I'm still spending more than I feel comfortable with currently on them...something will present itself. It usually does.

Ah well, I'll try to update more later.
