Got quite the bug...
Nov. 3rd, 2003 02:10 pmgot a bug up..well, never mind.
All of a sudden, out of NOWHERE, I find myself wanting to find out the history of my family...geneology and all that. See how far back I can find, and, if possible, where we come from. Found a handy program for keeping track, and while putting information into it at one point, realize just how little I know..and felt really sad about that.
I know that, in theory, we're related to Calamity Jane, but there is no real hard proof of that, and sounds more like family...embellishment. I'd like to be able to say for certain...
So, once I get home, I'll be looking up all sorts of information, and trying to wrack my brains to remember some details about the Smith side of the family...which, I don't think I'll track back very far...THAT would be close to lunacy...YOU tell me how common "Smith" is. :-P
Other than that, today has been a day at work..my boss left me a message this morning that he was sick...and hasn't been in today...I was feeling tired and weak over the weekend, and still feel a little bit now, but man, I'm really tired of this creeping crud illness that seems to be hitting everyone.
Tonite...well, I'll watch the episode of Carnivale I missed last night, and try to clean up the Apt. some more...got a few more books organized...probably ought to do laundry while I'm at it. And read more of "Tangled Skein".
Was told that Gaiman can't commit to my convention, so am looking into other authors...Tara K. Harper is one I'm considering, as well as Bujold, as friends were really hyping her to me...now to find a few books of hers, and read them...because, I refuse to consider a guest I haven't read. :-) Altho, I may just have to try Stephen King first...and see if that's even a possibility...of course, I'd have people scream out that he's not Sci/Fi-Fantasy...except for a few of his books, but he's still more relevant than some.
