Ugh...just a day.

Watched "Memento" last night...and, now, I'm in a big mood to watch the movie "Dead Again"...and that makes me wonder who I know who may or may not have seen that...I'd classify it as a little known movie, starring Kenneth Branagh, and Emma Thompson...with Andy Garcia, and a cameo from another favorite actor of mine, whom I won't reveal, in case it's spoiler. As I recall, I didn't see him in any ads for it, and was very surprised.

Memento is one of those that I liked..but, man, it can bring me down...you watch it, and I think it's the music that does it in a big way...the tones make it feel completely helpless, like there's something vastly wrong, and can't be changed.

Dead Again was one of those that was in and out of the theatre pretty quick...tho, I will go on record as saying that I think ANY of my friends would like it...whether our tastes in movies sync or not..

Of course, that brings a swell of memories of me and 2 friends going to see it at the 1.50 theatre. one of those people I never hear of...the other I hear from on occasion...sometimes, I despise how my memory works...it's almost like it etches moments in crystal, and etches a variety of input at the same time. Just now, thinking of moments, I remember going to a couple of band competitions, and it being cold. I remember the music, I remember the imagery...

And, somehow, all that gets trapped up in my head, along with the endless movie trivia I have...not like I try to memorize this stuff, it just stays up there...

Now, if I can just train my brain to do that with other things, I'll be better off. :-)

I loved Dead Again. Will have to make hubby watch it.

I think that, overall, it's good that you have so many memories cued to sounds and bits of media. It helps you remember more. I'm very conscious of just how fragile the memory is, and how much we're always losing....
