*Shaking head at self*
Nov. 14th, 2003 10:52 pmSo, tonite, I spent $25 dollars on myself...and picked up the latest Stephen King "Dark Tower" book...now, I have even more reason to finish the Incarnations of Immortality, because those are the only things in my way of starting "The Wolves of the Calla".

I started reading Stephen King when I was in 7th grade...I actually had to get my mother to sign a permission form for me to check the book out of the school library. That book was Christine. It was ok...I read several King books, and at some point, picked up "The Gunslinger". It is a LOT different And covers several genres...this is King's "Mangum Opus", his Epic. The series will last for 7 books...of which this latest is book 5. King was putting them out every 5 or so years for a while. Each book seemed to come a little longer than the others...then, King got hit by a van. For fun reading, I recommend the expanded version of the first book..in it, there is a fun spot of King talking about writing the series, and the long wait between books.
Anyways...I've been a King fan for a long time at this rate...and to see the end of the series within a year...that is just cool. Oh, I forgot to mention that the Dark Tower seems to tie into EVERY King book...which is kinda cool how that is done. I won't say much, so that it won't ruin the surprise if anyone is going to pick it up.
