Just finished watching Mulan...
For MANY years, I avoided Disney films...somewhere around Pocahantas, and Hunchback..NO desire to see them...had to have my arm twisted to watch this one.
And it wasn't bad...a few very good scenes that had me laughing...Eddie Murphy added a lot, but there were a lot of other voices I recognized (BD Wong, and Harvey Fierstein amongst those)...
The count of Disney films I like are few...Rescuers (Both of them), Beauty and the Beast, Alladin, Lion King, and Lilo and Stitch...I'm sure there are a few others...and, now Mulan.
Other than that, and eternal cleaning of my Apt., not a lot to add to this update...normal woes at work, and having to deal with a contractor...well, and having to go to an Eye Appt. on Monday...and then having my boss get a little pissy about it, as if I picked the magical Eye Appt. date, as opposed to going with the soonest available...as opposed to the next opening which would have been on September 11th..and, well, I'm not too worried about the eye glitch, but just worried enough that I don't want to postpone it TOO long...oh well, shit happens and all that.
On another note, tried the Merlin Ale at the Rathskeller last weekend...VERY nice...VERY smooth. As opposed to tonite's beer, which is "Leinie's Original"...which is a little bitter to my taste..yeah, Beer is supposed to be bitter, but now and then you find one that isn't, and it's a pleasant surprise...I thought about importing some Merlin Ale, but well, that's a little expensive for now. :-)
Ah well, time to go to bed.
