Ok...Monday Morning, things are progressing.

Hair Cut, check deposited, backing up of data to verify on new machine if it was corrupted is done...some things I can't verify on this old Gateway...ah well, plenty of time, and if I lost things, well, will try to recreate as best as I can.

Question becomes, with this new computer, do I leave it as is, or blow out the HD, and reformat it? This is a 250G "Datasafe" drive..which means, actually, there are two drives in there...now, I've ready HORRENDOUS things on Datasafe..that it's glitchy, and doesn't allow you to use your full Hard Drive...and, if that's the case, it makes more sense to suddenly have half a terrabyte of storage..

However, backups are a kinda good thing...I guess what I would need to do, in that case, is put everything on there, and then make a good backup of the critical things needed.

No clue what I'd do with that much space, but still...:-P Fun to play with.

No "top 5" today...thoughts and all are jumbled.

Now, need to go out to Radio Shack..need to get a longer S-Video cable, a switch box for Audio, and an audio cable to go from the computer to the TV. And also work on more scholarship stuff, and more job stuff.

So, after having been told to for a while, I finally added the Post Secret community.

and, lo and behold, the first new post I see from them is that their book is now available.

I'll admit, the community isn't likely for everyone, however, I've had a fair amount of "wow" in reading it.

So, I guess this short post is simply to say...go to my friends page, or my userinfo page...click on their name, read the few posts available, and see if you feel like putting them on your list...I think several will. :-)

Now, back to work.

Ah, popped in a DVD for background while working ona few things...

Happened to pick "Jesus Christ Superstar". Had the original film, and traded it to dad for the "new" one that came out a few years ago...he loves the original, and liked the newer...I loved the newer, and liked the original. :-) So, that worked out well for both of us.

Chaos is ensuing all around...there's the job, the computer (which arrives tomorrow), and the other fears and stuff I'm dealing with daily. Add to that the chaos going on in everyone else's lives, and you have a very screwed up boy. :-) Convention stuff hit another level lately, that I won't go into here, but suffice to say, I'm in "helper" mode..which makes me feel crazed...I can't afford to be in helper mode right now..it's a stop gap for dealing with my own crap, which feels insurmountable, but I'm working on that, damnit.

On a "weird" note, was informed today that, by god, I'm going to Marcon.

From the e-mails I received "If you've got the time you're coming to Marcon. No worries about registration and food- just you having some fun with us and blowing off steam. Now alcohol is another matter. I'm reinstating my old rules with **** that if you're too poor to buy your own liquor and someone buys you pity booze, you have to drink it. You're too poor to turn down free shit."

*shakes head* I love my friends, dearly. Tis part of the reason why I would do anything within my power to help any of my friends. That's a small part of why I'm still helping with some of the InCon stuff...well, pride plays a small part there, too...having worked hard to make the con evolve SOME in the last 11 years..so, yeah, I've got my pride. However, Marcon will likely be like it was Last year...I'll go on Friday,Saturday, be back on Sunday to be social with friends who are getting together for the holiday weekend..of course, at SOME point that weekend, I'll likely be moving...FEH...will worry about that later. No, not putting it off, just acknowledging that this hour isn't the one to worry about it, while posting.

Anyways, I'm here...existing, much like the rest of you...working on living.
