Apr. 23rd, 2006 02:01 pmOk..now that the poisonous thoughts in my head are actually out, I'm feeling better. Say what you will about LJ induced drama, but it does allow one to get thoughts out of the head.
So, quick question, because it sounds scammy and waste-of-timish...
Does anyone on my FL, or their FL, have any experience with Mystery Shoppers? It jumped out at me, and seems a quick easy way to have cash coming in..however, I have no experience, and the old adage "If it sounds too good to be true" has hit my head.
Thanks in advance.

Date: 2006-04-23 06:32 pm (UTC)There *are* mystery shoppers out there that are good but there are scams out there too. http://www.wahm.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=44 is the WAHM forum board specifically for mystery shoppers. You can check out whatever companies and see how they are for you.

Date: 2006-04-24 03:41 am (UTC)My experience has been on both sides of the equation. From the retail side was shopped several times and got a gold star on one of the visits. It pretty much you go in, have a certain criteria that needs to be met - and you report on how many things happen during your course of business.
On the shopper side, I was a THX reviewer for theaters. Go to Lucas films and I believe they still have that going. I did it several years ago and made 75 plus reimbursement. Not bad, but the lag time between assignments was HORRIBLE. So this is no way to make a living, but might bring in a little bit when it counts.
My 2 cents,
RC
