Tired...

I'm tired.

Not only physically tired, but mentally tired as well. I'm about to post an update on my Blog, and I think it's going to pull a lot out of me...in a way, I'm dreading it.

This last weekend, COJ had their annual elections...I successfully managed to not get elected to anything...I was president of the club for a full year, and BOY was it like being an organ grinder sometimes...it was fun, and it was a neat experience, but I'm not sure if I should do it again.

I got compliments, because I made some of the business meetings go quicker, but I also had a person say they questioned if I was doing what was right for the club or what was right for my convention. *shrug*

As far as the convention, well, things are going..I'm trying to think hard on a GOH (Guest of Honor), for writing, and am coming up light. I REALLY wanted Gaiman, but he cannot be committed to such for a while...I wonder if I can get Wheaton...funny thing is, I REALLY wonder if I can get Wheaton as my Author guest.

ARGH. Boring, Boring life. Tho, really, NOT boring..it never is. Voice is coming back, and is much better than it's been, even if the fact that it's still gone is still bugging me.

Office needs cleaned..hell, my Apt. needs cleaned...3 weeks of illness and lethargy don't make the Apt. look good...

Yes, this is a bit of a ramble post, but I haven't rambled in a while...and, I may as well get the happy rambling out of the way before posting in my blog.

Drew brought me back 4 4-packs of Point Root Beer. http://www.pointbeer.com/brewery.php makes some ok root beer...and, I had a girl at work promise to get me a bottle of Thomas Kemper Root Beer (which sounded ok), AND a bottle of Weinhard's Root Beer, which according to http://www.root-beer.info, is like the Holy Grail of Root Beers.

Oh, and my computer had the Power Supply crap out last week...had to go buy a new one. But, the computer store I go to gave me a deal..gave me a 400W for the price of a 300...no complaints, and they'll have my business yet again.

Tonite, I need to watch the 2 previous episodes of 24, so I can loan the tape out to Mooncat75....and be caught up for Tomorrow's episode. I'm not finding myself drawn into 24 as much this year...I don't know why...possibly a bit of "If I read the news, I see stories like this, and why does it matter now?" I don't know..I'm tired, and a bit maudlin. It's quarter after 3:00. I just went to uninstall office on a machine at work...

Ah well, enough babbling for now, we'll see if I feel more like writing tonite.

I can imaging how frustrating the voice is. That's been going on a long time.

With the con, flexibility just has to be the key. It seems like with at least half of the InCons I've participated in, the conchair didn't get his first choice of GoH. Good luck.

Come to think of it, Gaiman didn't say NO, just that he couldn't commit this far in advance? You should get a different author GoH and ask him again closer to the date. It hasn't been uncommon to add guests to InCon late, especially big name ones.
