Mom just sent me a few things that are...um, interesting to say the least. ANd has my curiousity raised.

Date: 2006-06-10 01:38 am (UTC)Anyway, French Lick..there are sulfur springs in the area so it can smell like rotten eggs at times, but you get used to it. Larry Bird was from there. It's a cool place for hikeing, camping, stuff like that. About 45 minutes away in Montgomery there is an Amish resturant which is pretty good. The closest 'big town' is Bedford...or Jasper, depending on which way you are going.
Summing up...are you wanting to go there for a weekend getaway? If so, yes, it's cool. Is there a job there? If they are paying you ALOT...you'd have to go see for yourself.

Date: 2006-06-10 05:23 am (UTC)The old resort hotel is undergoing renovation. It used to be a big big draw for the movers and shakers back at the turn of the century, so much so I believe that the train ran from chi-town to the town. Not so much any more. It's nice for a weekend hotel stay but I what's there to do was hidden away when we were there....
