InConJunction 2006
Jul. 10th, 2006 10:28 pmOk...InCon.
Instead of trying to do a day by day, am just going to let myself ramble a little. Tried posting a day by day, and it froze. :-P
Woke up way to early on several of the days, and didn't sleep at all Saturday overnight...finally, at 8:45, went to snooze for a little, and overslept and missed my panel. Others had taken it over, and run with the idea. Whoot for that!
Tom was great. He had problems coming in, which partially made us realize that GOHs and their liasons need to swap information before they come out...but, live and learn. Everyone raved on his concert, before that he had played a new song at Opening Ceremonies that had people asking when it was coming out. I pointed several comic fans to "Last Hero on Earth". Best part was being able to go to dinner on Saturday, at Uno's (which is a place I only went to once or twice, and miss since I'm not on the North Side). Good Pizza, and a dessert for each of us. Still couldn't remember the song idea I'd wondered if anyone had ever done. Feh on my more recent memory issues.
I actually ate when I should have...donated blood, and surprised the guy taking it, as I finished at just about 6 minutes...got a T Shirt for that.
Borrowed the Shock Treatment DVD from Rob..did not get to borrow "Lost Skeleton of Cadavra"
OH! Also, watched the Season Finale for Dr. Who with a ROOM full of fans who had not seen it yet, either...I was not disappointed, and thought it worked well for a finale...plenty of Oooh, and AHHHH moments. A few lines I won't forget, and just enough things that made me go "Does the Dr. Already KNOW what is going to happen?" In short, wasn't disappointed, and want to watch again and again. More than that, want the soundtrack with the musical cues..one from the end of this episode is rather haunting.
Today has been a series of applying for more jobs, updating my online resumes. More applying tomorrow.
