Aug. 13th, 2006 07:33 pmI was given a word last week, and here is the meme.
I get a word, and have to name 5 songs that have that word in the title.
Indyellen gave me the word "Cat". So, here goes:
Cat's in the Cradle - Harry Chapin (Yes, I know it's him this time). Have always loved this song, and how it's never been a concern of being like my father and me.
Stray Cat Strut - The Stray Cats. Always liked the tone and feel of this song, and a few years ago, saw a fan made video for "Pirates of the Caribbean" that was fun for it.
The Pussycat Song - Asylum Street Spankers. Cute double entendre comedy song. If you haven't listened to it, find it and enjoy it. Reminds me that I need to get their albums eventually.
McAvity the Mystery Cat - Cats Soundtrack. *heh* Loved this Musical.
Cat Scratch Fever - Ted Nugent (I think.) - Haven't heard this one in a long time, but it fits the bill.
Now, I'm going to do two things with this meme. 1st, if you want a word, let me know. 2nd, if you want to give me a word & see me work my mojo, I'll do that, too.
Have fun...

Date: 2006-08-14 12:16 am (UTC)Eye in the Sky - Alan Parsons Project. This, and "Don't Answer Me" are the only two songs of theirs I've ever listened to.
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - The Beatles. Parents raised me on this music, I better know this one.
Goodbye Blue Sky - Pink Floyd. End of the Wall album (if memory serves). Haven't listened to this one much, as I skip around some of the other tracks.
Blue Sky Country - Chris Whitley. Part of why I collect soundtracks is that I wanted to create a custom "Homicide" soundtrack, and this was one of the songs I had.
The Sky is a Landfill - Jeff Buckley. Same album as the theme song for "Dead Zone", most of it is pretty good. :-)

Date: 2006-08-14 12:31 am (UTC)Well, my dad had the Everly Brothers record, I sang the Les Mis song in college, I totally know my 80s songs, the Monkees kick ass and Bobby Darin....well, that was the first song that came to my mind for 'dream' but it took me a little while to remember who sang it ;)
