M_Glow posted about Absinth, which has me once again wanting to try that at least once.
I'm listening to "Evanescence", which reminds me that it was just mentioned "their" new album is coming out. FOrtunately, from what I read, the lead singer and her boyfriend have split (He was the lead singer for Seether, I think), so he won't be the vocalist on it.
It's sad, really. I want to like the new album, but without the original two, there just isn't a chance really. We (my friends) and I were lucky, we got to see them twice. The first time? They were great, the second time, god did it suck. SOunded like she had blown her voice out, and was trying to make do. I want to believe that they will be better, but it's just not likely. Am torn on whether I should get it or not.
Cold and throat ick is still around. And, yes, I get to be whiny when I'm feeling sick. That makes work all the more fun, hence my going off a while ago. But, I get to go off here, it's not like I'm going to go off in RL (As I say to myself, you mean LJ Isn't real life???). :-) Hell, I spent a small part of today trying to remember a "created personna" drama that hit LJ several months ago, couldn't for the life of me remember the LJ name. Now, the weird part is I remembered the "real" name.
Tomorrow, after work, is going to IUPUI and finding their Counseling center. Then seeing what happens from there. Also got a call from my banker IRA person, who just got a new computer, and is wanting help setting it up. He'd said months ago that he couldn't pay me much, but what would probably amount to Beer and Pizza money for a college student. I'd said that would be fine at the time.
Plans are muddled for what everyone is planning this weekend. I've offered to be a few places, will see what comes of that. One friend wants to play Blood Bowl, and I'm debating trying to learn that again, just have never had a big interest in it. I'll likely drag a few of my games with me.
Speaking of games, guy at work got me hooked on http://www.drugrunners.net
Cute little game where you're trying to make money, sell drugs, and stay ahead of the rest. It reminds me of old BBS games, but I can't recall which ones.
So, yeah, I'm hanging in. Feels like falling backwards, but at least I'm noting what that looks like. :-)
