Day one of Starbase Indy.

Arrived after donating blood (and getting my car washed). Turns out I will start donating platelets, at some point in the future.

Got to the convention, hung out with people. SBI is run by a mostly different group than Incon. And yet I still offer to assist, act as moral support, and try to offer new and different ideas. It's nice to feel back into that kind of thing.

Got to meet Dean Haglund and talk to him before his Improv show. He is funny as hell, and because I was a door wrangler (the stage is a replica of the enterprise, so SOMEONE has to open the doors), I get a copy of the DVD of the show for free.

Um, Gary Graham (Sykes from Alien Nation) was cool to chat with, and Katy Sackhoff (did I spell that right?) is shy as hell. I think this might be her second convention. Fortunately, I think Indiana cons are better in some respects, for newer stars.

Hung out talking at the setup for Karaoke (no, wasn't singing, was just part of the stage crew to make sure certain things were in the right places), and then went and hung out with other friends.

That's the quick "Ok, HIGHLIGHTS" update. Now to get my ass back over there.
