Wow.

Just...f'ing wow.

For our 319 class, we had to do a research paper. I chose the topic of Taxes funding stadium building.

It had to have 5 sources cited, and be just long enough to get your point across. Mine was 5 pages. I had a hard time writing that, and couldn't see how to "milk" it for additional length, and was scared to death.

Fully prepared myself to receive a "D" in it.

I got a 93.

A 93!!

And yes, this is 319, Sports Management, the ONE class in EM so far I've been massively worried about.

Instructor's announcement follows. I chuckled at the "there, their and they're" comment, as that's a minor pet peeve of mine.

"I didn't take off for lack of proof or content. Many of you missed points because you didn't cite your sources at all (and lost a lot of points) or you made some errors when citing. Grammar was also a big thing many of you missed points on. I recommend reading your paper out loud before handing it in. Improper use of then and than or there, their, and they're were the worst.

Lastly, I was looking for the way in which you organized your thoughts. I didn't take off points unless you were way off base here, but for future reference, a research paper should involve stating your thoughts and backing it up with the resources your found. This means citing trusted sources. Although I think many of you knew your topic and pulled great ideas from articles, you failed to make mention of those articles, which is what validates your opinion. "

Once again. A 93!!!!

:-) *ferret shock, followed by massive poinging*
