Jun. 10th, 2004 03:13 pmJust read that Ray Charles has passed away, at 73. And, this one bothers me more than Reagan's death, which didn't bother me at all really...
The part that bothers me with Charles is that I know his music fairly well...and, one early memory is of the Blues Brothers, and who can forget him in that movie?
Like most people, I have a few songs that he did that I remember very well, but the media geek in me remembers "Georgia on my mind", because of its use in the tv show "Quantum Leap"...of course, that makes me think of "I can't stop loving you", which was the song right before it on the cassette I own.
Temptation, as with all celebrity deaths, is to go home and pop in "The Blues Brothers"
